Well, here I am. Spring is peaking out from behind the cloak of winter...and so am I. I have found that I have really missed the "release" of expressing myself in written form. With the changes in my schedule and the nature of my job I have become a very poor e-mailer and even worse with the telephone. This is my first step towards improvement.
So welcome to my very own corner of the world. Let me bring you up to date..........
Bruce and I are great. We celebrated 25 years of marriage in September and are happier today than the day we stood at the altar. Bruce is still working at Norris Bailey State Farm, and I am still at New Life Ministries. We are both happy with our lives and the little groove we are carving out for ourselves in our empty nest together. Currently we both seem to be in good health....emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Praise Elohim from whom all blessings flow abundantly.
We are still in our apartment community at Legacy and Chase Oaks and doing a more simplified form of Apartment caregiving that is sponsored by Grace Outreach Center. It has been a very successful effort and continues to give Bruce great outlet for his amazing catering abilities. The quarterly breakfasts have spun off into a bi-weekly study/fellowship group that we are really enjoying. The relationships are rich and satisfying already.
In addition to the Life Groups at Grace Outreach (http://graceoutreachcenter.org/ )we are also attending Scott's fellowship, Redemption Church (http://www.redemption-church.com/ ). Redemption had asked me to get a 12 step spirit-filled recovery group started. It is called "the chain gang" and although it is early in it's inception the group is already a major blessing. The depth and authenticity of sharing each other's struggles and victories in this group is already very impressive.
We are enjoying our two sweet pets. "The Girls," as I like to call them. Our dog Mercedes Jane (Mercy for short) and Caroline the cat. They are quite amusing together and play typical cat and dog chase games all through a very small apartment. Lots of fun...........All the time!
Scott and Jacqueline are really fantastic. They are praying and planning financially about Scott going into full time ministry at his church. Scott currently works at "A Better Answer" ( http://www.abetteranswer.com/ ) and Jacqueline Nannies twin 4 year old girls. The Fane Jr.'s make their home with our two grandcat babies Santo, and Fry and our grandpuppy baby Cabella. They are very happy and we are very proud of them.
That kind of brings you up to speed. If you have been emailing to no avail...this is the updated scoop and I am going to try to update here frequently
I hope this post finds you healthy and well and celebrating our Lord!
Happy Easter :)
